Behind the Name—Jordan

The Slabacks wanted children. When the couple’s hopes seemed to be completely lost—along came Jordan.

“She is my first adoption miracle, my angel, the precious baby God gave to me and my husband when we thought we might never become parents,” writes Miche Representative Kami Slaback as she suggests her daughter’s name be considered as a Miche Shell design.

Now a charming little girl of five, Jordan brings her family joy every day.

Jordan is a sweet, fun, deliciously happy little girl who loves animals. She’ll kiss a frog or lizard just as soon as she will a puppy or kitten, but horses are her favorite! Jordan is just girly enough—she won’t fuss with hair bows and doesn’t care too much about shoes, but she beams and twirls when she wears a pretty dress,” explains Kami of her treasured daughter.

“That’s my girl!” We agree with you, Kami—she’s perfect.

The Jordan Shell for Demi was created with this delightful girl in mind. Kami states that Jordan is a big Miche fan, “Her favorite Shells are the brightly-colored ones: pink, purple, blue, and green. When I am about to purchase a new Petite Shell for her or my kit, I’ll ask her which one she likes. She makes me smile from ear to ear when she says, ‘I can’t decide. I want ALL of them!’”

Bright and Cheeky for Summer

The Maryanne for Prima ($44.95) available for purchase May 1st.

Funky prints are a summer blockbuster. Whether you wear it in bright shades or subtle hues, tie-die and kaleidoscope prints add spunk to your look. Almost any bold print goes with a neutral palette. If you want to branch out, here are some other ways to wear eye-popping prints:

1. Sport a pair of cheeky printed skinny jeans with an understated shirt.
2. Pop on a pair of power-printed pumps. If you match a color from the print with your outfit, you’ll pull off this style seamlessly.
3. Carry a bright, cheery handbag. A print reminiscent of your childhood kaleidoscope (like this one!) is fun and effortless.
4. Downplay any bold print with a menswear-inspired navy blazer. This look incorporates both feminine and classic looks.

Miche Rep Conferences

The Miche team is popping up all around the country at Miche Rep Conferences to talk all things Miche, and to check out the communities where Miche is sold.  So far Miche Bag Vice Pres., Jayma Woods and Miche Bag designer, Jennie Platt have had a great time meeting some of the Miche Reps who are making wonderful Miche moments happen in their home towns.

“It was amazing and we felt so welcomed by the whole group! They called in the beautiful weather and arrived sporting ‘Jen’ and ‘Jayma’ shells in honor of their guests,” said Jayma Woods after visiting with Miche reps in Akron Ohio.

Miche Bag CEO, Corbin Church traveled with the Miche team as they stopped by Akron, Richmond, Nashville, and several other cities, looking for someone who was sporting the ‘Corbin’ shell to no avail. He is hoping maybe someday Jenny Platt will actually design a ‘Corbin’ shell for him.

Then the group headed west. “We spent time in Portland Oregon for a great event.  We got to meet Marge from Brooklyn, that’s M-A-reg,” Said Jayma Woods. “We also had a great time in Spokane Washington and enjoyed the “candy buffet/bar” and our Mini togo Miche Bags!”

Keep your eye out for the Miche team in your hometown if you haven’t seen them already!!

2010 Miche Distributor Conference in Salt Lake City

The 2010 distributor conference wrapped up in SLC a few weeks ago and what a great opportunity for distributors and Miche Bag alike! Miche Bag set out to communicate, motivate and inspire its distributors. This was to be accomplished by a variety of different gatherings and formats. New products were introduced, hearts were touched, and important information was relayed. Was it a success? Based upon the comments and expressions of appreciation that have flowed since the conference ended, definitely it was a success. When you have miles between you and you are only able to communicate via email and telephone, the personal touch is often lost. For distributors to say that Miche Bag and its leaders are “real” was the one of the greatest compliments that could have been shared. This conference gave us all the opportunity to get to know one another better and bond more closely, like a family.

WOW, What an outstanding weekend! It was so great to meet all of the distributors and hear their own personal “Miche” stories. The classes were informative with exciting new announcements around every corner. I would say anyone who attended left with a full tank ready to explode with Miche Bag. My favorite part of the weekend was the fashion show with releases of 2010 and the release of the hope shell to benefit cancer. $5 of every bag sold goes to cancer research! We hope to donate 1 million dollars or more this year alone! Amazing, amazing, amazing weekend…and did I mention the food?

Conference for me was unlike anything I have ever experienced. The opportunity to meet the amazing distributors that we work with was something that helps remind me why I enjoy this job. One thing that stood out to me is how grateful all those who attended were for that special weekend. Following the conference the overwhelming flood of “thank you’s” that came into our office in the days and weeks following conference was unbelievable. We read all of them to our entire staff and have kept them out on the cabinets like you would your Christmas Cards. Thanks to the planning and support, and most importantly the mood and energy of our phenomenal distributors, the weekend was fast paced and unforgettable.
