Thanks again for all of your input! I’ve read through each of your comments since my last post, and found a few common inquiries I would like to respond to. (As always, if I don’t answer your question fully, please feel free to contact our customer service team! info@michebag.com is the best email. If you don’t receive a prompt response please try again, I am certain it would be due to a technical issue as our customer service team is determined to respond to every inquiry in a timely manner!)
First, I would like to address the issue of the defective bags. I really want to emphasize that any purses with tearing loops (the piece that connects the metal ring to the purse) are defective and should be exchanged for a new purse FREE OF CHARGE. Any tearing handles will also be replaced with a new set of handles free of charge. We have perfected the construction of both pieces so they are now double thick and stitched. I am certain you will be impressed with your replacement! If you have any trouble doing an exchange through the avenue you purchased your bag, please do contact our customer service directly. We want to be certain our customers are well taken care of.
Second, I would like to explain a little about all of the different places you have found to purchase Miche Bags. As a new company with a unique product, we must do everything we can to make the Miche Bag visible to everyone everywhere. To that end, we have pursued many different sales channels. Our main focus is always our wonderful distributors and sales representatives. They sell Miche Bags throughout the US in kiosks, Miche Bag Shows (our version of purse parties, check out www.michebagshows.com for more info), and trade shows. Our other sales avenues (our website and infomercial) are in place to support that network.
Lastly, I would like to explain a little about the customer service issues some of you have mentioned. As each of our sales avenues involve different, independent companies, it can be difficult to ensure each carries out our customer service policies. This is why we request that if you have any difficulty when returning to the place you purchased, you contact us directly through info@michebag.com. It is always our intention to ensure “the buck stops here”. We are currently working on developing better, more consistent customer service processes to be sure we can carry out our intentions fully.

I love the Miche bag. I agree with some of the posts above that a leather option would be nice and people would pay more. I like faux however as I do not wear leather, so good for me
Also I have noticed that in 1 out of 3 bags the Miche button on the bag is crocked. What seperates quality products from lesser quality products is the detail. Plus it is the company logo and should always be placed straight.
I have had my purse for about six months and the handle is cracking and fraying. Is there anything that I can do about this. I use my bag everyday and I am kind of worried about the handle.
I too saw your informercial and immediatly went out on 4miche.com and fell in love with this ingenious idea! Im a purse junky and like most women had black, brown, maybe a blue purse to go with most everything you wear! This is just too cool, I have 9 shells so far and cant wait for new ones to come out! I would like longer shoulder straps as this purse is rather heavy, not from what you put in, but the shells and magnets themselves add to the weight of the purse. I have a bum shoulder/neck and as most chiropractors agree you should not carry your purse over your shoulder, BUT if you had a longer shoulder strap I could drape it over my neck and carry it comfortably at my hip. But most women wont find this a problem, so I will probably design one for myself since I adore this purse and feel it would be worth the effort :O) Way to go for coming up with this fab idea so we can change our shells as often as we change our minds:O)
I have had my Miche bag for several months now and I am thrilled with it. I now have 8 shells and use them all. I get so many comments on how beautiful my bag is, and have also had several people ask if it is Miche bag, so they are becoming quite well known. It is a great idea and one long overdue. When I ordered I was concerned that they would look cheap, but they are all lovely. Thank you for offering a product that is both functional and attractive at the same time!
With my original order I received 4 shells and then ordered 4 more after that. I would like to have more in summer colors and looked at your inventory and found a couple I was interested in ordering; however, the last shells I ordered were $10.00 each and they are now listed at $24.95. Have they increased that much in price in this short length of time? Please advise.
Love the Miche bag. Love to see more shells, like some evening versions, black lace or black beaded types. Also a bronze shell, a pewter shell, a gold shell, a silver shell, etc.
Also the bag holder that hangs in the closet is ingenious. I would only ask that it be made a quarter of an inch wider for the openings because the shells are hard to get in.
Also the little zip pocket in the bag is somewhat useless as it has no give. Suggest redesigning it so it expands a tad.
I love my new miche bag. It’s gorgeous.
I would love to see more plaid shells like Bonnie. Perhaps in blue and another in dark green.
Other suggestions: florals, tweeds, paisleys and toiles.

I agree with the other ladies in that I think you guys should come out w/ a leather version or better quality looking one. That would be great! I love them & I think its a great idea.
I’m considering selling them as a rep but I also think your expectations on the first month are a little too high for a first timer. Can you at least make it a little easier on the first month? Other companies that have hostess parties are not as stringent. I am just eager to sell them & I love the product!
I got my bag at a show this weekend. I absolutely love it. But by the time I got the handbag, shell and longer straps I paid over $80.00 for it. Still a bargain until I got on the 4miche site and found you could get the handbag, longer straps and 4 shells for $100.00. Why the big difference in price? Had I known about the other site, I would have waited to get the purse because I really wanted a few more shells but could not afford them. Thanks. Also, I would love a bigger bag. I carry a lot of stuff and it is hard to fit into this bag. But still LOVE the bag and am going to have a show really soon.
Looks like you have a great thing beginning here…how can I find out about upcoming shows in my area (Central Valley, California), and how to become a distributor or host a show?
I was talking to my daughter today and she wanted to no if you were going to design a wallet with shells to match the bags?

Will you be coming out with a larger bag, more like a tote? I’m in school, and I like a bag that is big enough to slide a three ring binder into it.
I love this bag! I would love to see a denium shell, black/white polka dots, black background with large white spirals, black background with bright color swirls/dots, and bright color blocked abstract prints.
I want to see the mini miche bags. I want to buy one, if only someone would send me a link!!! I also want to see a wallet. If you do the wallet, make it a zip shut one.

Thank you for your enthusiasm about the Miche bag. Your ideas are great and we may just come out with what you’re looking for – we recently had a series of polka dot shells, the Brooklyn. You can check our website or your local representative for our most recent releases. We will be coming out with many new shells over the summer so stay posted. The Mini Miche has just been retired but the big bag is expected later this year so there are many new exciting things to come.

While I liked the longer shoulder straps that came with my bags (I have both the black and brown base bags), I find them kind of plain. But now you’ve come up with the long chain handles that seem to add a little pizzaz to the purses and I’m getting them! Thank you!

One of my colleagues just purchased a bag at a retail establishment in Greensboro, NC. She said they offered different packages, i.e. a bag and 2 shells for one price, a bag and six shells for another price. Why don’t you offer that package on-line?
I purchased a Miche purse and 5 covers in sept.and the short black straps are worn almost thru where they attach to the rings.What can I do about this?

I too love my Miche. Best purse purchase I’ve ever made. I’ve had mine six or seven months. My only concern is the two elastic compartments in the inside have both ripped and frayed right under the elastic band. I have not overstuffed the purse or the pockets. Does anyone else have this problem?
The only suggestion I would have is maybe putting the snap closer on both ends of the zipper, as the gap on the closing end can sometimes cause things to fall out when bending over to pick something up or scold my child (nicely of course).

I would not recommend this product to anyone. I received the shells but no bag. Called customer service and they said they would ship one out right away. I waited and waited but no bag. Finally called to get a refund and was told I returned them after the 30 days. Well that’s because I was waiting for the bag. What a fiasco. Buyer beware is all I can say.
I would like to see the handle on the bag 1 or 2 inches longer so it can be held with the hand but also put on the shoulder. The handle put on the shoulder is just to tight on the under arm.

Love the bag concept and did buy one along with 2 shells, but I’m finding it is not tall enough. Another inch or so in height is needed; eyeglass case needs to stand upright to create more interior room. Also interior pockets (all) need more give and esp. please redesign the size of the cell phone pocket. I have a new cell phone…it slides down into the pocket and I cannot quick release…calls missed…not good! Also, I like the looks of the new chain handles, but they need to be the same length as the original shoulder handles! I would like to purchase more shells but won’t until the bag is redesigned, hopefully, to meet my needs. Thanks . Susan
Fortunately, your product is much better than your web site. You must need a new web designer. I found 2 covers that I would like to purchase, but even though they show up in my cart prior to check out, the cart shows empty when I try to check out and pay for the covers.

First of all I want to tell you how much I love this purse. I recently bought the longer straps, and can’t figure out how to remove the old ones to put them on. Am I missing something? Please help. Thank you in advance for your time and congrats on the huge success.

I got my Miche Bag initial (black purse) package last Christmas …. love it and use it since then. I can’t resist and went and bought the brown bag too.
Since then, I went crazy finding and purchasing different shells.
I think this site should have a museum tab to showcase all the retired shells and the year of their retirement.
It can show the revolution of the design of the shells … it is just like any fashion …. it may come back years later.
Some of the retired shells kind of cute too …. eg. Geri, Annie (Purple and Yellow), Maryiln, Bronze shell with Side pocket (no idea the name of the shell) etc. I don’t think all of us have seen them ever.
We should showcase them and let everyone enjoy the great design they were.

I would like to also see you bring shells from popular designers, such as Coach, Dooney Bourke & others. What a great way to own other popular designer bags with your concept & idea, for a lesser price, but a ok if it’s a little higher than your regular price on your other purses….

have had my bag over a year and all my friends want one. I would love to have a “tupper ware” type party at my home to sell the bags. Four of us bought them in LA in the Spring and we just love changing our covers. Barbara

I agree 100% with all of the comments on a better quality {leather} bag for a higher price as an option for the base bag. I really almost didn’t purchase it because it just doesn’t look like a high quality handbag. But it is a wonderful idea and too much fun to pass up. I am sure all of these many requests are in the future…someones head must be spinning to make all of these ideas a reality…it just will take time. Mary
Would love to see more of the slouchy style bags. Gives a little more room for cell phone, etc. It would be great if you just offered each design in a regular style & slouchy style. For more options for us. Also I was waiting for the bigger style, but after seeing it, is a little too big. Would be nice to see something bigger than the original but not as large as the big bag.Love these bags.
It would be great to see a bag a little bigger than the current Miche bag, however, not as large as the New Miche Big Bag.
Many of my clients are have requested feet/legs on the bottom of the big bag. Is that a possibility. Also there are clients requesting a happy medium; a medium size bag, not as big as the Big Bag, however, larger than the regular Miche.
