Thanks again for all of your input! I’ve read through each of your comments since my last post, and found a few common inquiries I would like to respond to. (As always, if I don’t answer your question fully, please feel free to contact our customer service team! info@michebag.com is the best email. If you don’t receive a prompt response please try again, I am certain it would be due to a technical issue as our customer service team is determined to respond to every inquiry in a timely manner!)
First, I would like to address the issue of the defective bags. I really want to emphasize that any purses with tearing loops (the piece that connects the metal ring to the purse) are defective and should be exchanged for a new purse FREE OF CHARGE. Any tearing handles will also be replaced with a new set of handles free of charge. We have perfected the construction of both pieces so they are now double thick and stitched. I am certain you will be impressed with your replacement! If you have any trouble doing an exchange through the avenue you purchased your bag, please do contact our customer service directly. We want to be certain our customers are well taken care of.
Second, I would like to explain a little about all of the different places you have found to purchase Miche Bags. As a new company with a unique product, we must do everything we can to make the Miche Bag visible to everyone everywhere. To that end, we have pursued many different sales channels. Our main focus is always our wonderful distributors and sales representatives. They sell Miche Bags throughout the US in kiosks, Miche Bag Shows (our version of purse parties, check out www.michebagshows.com for more info), and trade shows. Our other sales avenues (our website and infomercial) are in place to support that network.
Lastly, I would like to explain a little about the customer service issues some of you have mentioned. As each of our sales avenues involve different, independent companies, it can be difficult to ensure each carries out our customer service policies. This is why we request that if you have any difficulty when returning to the place you purchased, you contact us directly through info@michebag.com. It is always our intention to ensure “the buck stops here”. We are currently working on developing better, more consistent customer service processes to be sure we can carry out our intentions fully.

Hello, First of all I want to say how in love I am with the Miche Bag. I live in Australian and within a month of buying the bag I now have 25 shells. The sad news is that I have purchased all I can from the Australian seller. I attempted to purchase from this site and was advised I can no longer do so because the Australian site has exclusive rights to sell world wide. How can that be? This site is suppose to be the offical Miche Bag website. These are the owners of this invention and they are not allowed to sell world wide. I am very sad because the Australian site only has 12 shells available. I have them all. There is no where else to go. The order I had placed was $US278 with the Black Friday special so I was a serious purchaser. Please fix this terrible terrible injustice for people who live outside Australia. I want to promote this bag in a positive light however how can I when us Aussies have such limited Miche Shell options. Regards Michelle Smith from Australia.
I would definitely purchase this if it were real leather instead faux. I was going to purchase these as xmas gifts until I read about faux materials.
I agree with Annie Landry that more people would purchase if there was a better quality version. I think you would have more of a following because it is a great concept. I was very excited when I first saw them.
I just simply want to say THANKS for this incredible idea! I am a purse addict, always buying one and then the other, trying to find The Perfect One. I knew just what I wanted – I just could never find it … until now! The size is perfect. The 2 choices of strap lengths is a great idea! And of course – the magnetic shells are genius! The AZ rep is coming to my elementary school (where I’m a school teacher) to set up a fundraiser this week. I am so excited for other people to have the opportunity to buy this great invention! I just wanted to agree with Michelle Smith. I too live in Australia and have found it frustrating that only 12 shells are on offer here. I have contacted the Australian distributer and they tell me that they have only just increased there number. So what there are over 40!!!I am lucky however that I will be travelling to the US next month and so will be able to buy up on my shells then.I also agree with Annie about the open end where the zip finishes. The gap is too large and I find that if the bag does tip over small things(carkeys) easliy fall out. Regards Ros Long, Perth Western Australia.

I’ve had more fun with this bag!! I am a full time motorhomer, so this bag is perfect for my limited storage space. I can have all the bags I want without the worry of where to put them. The covers fit nicely in the pocket on the back of the captains and navigators chairs. You may want to think about marketing at motorhome/RV shows and/or RV dealerships. Everyone I show mine to (and I’m not shy
) just loves the idea. Keep the new covers coming!

I also live in Australia. On the official Australian Miche website, you are correct in saying there are only 12 shells. However, this is not the only seller of these bags here in Aus. On http://www.exception.com.au there is 36 to choose from (almost the whole range available) and they are only $30 each (the same price as on the Miche website) and this company is based in QLD.

I just wanted to ask if there was a better way to contact someone about an order? I have been on the phone and as I’m writing this am still on the phone for a total of 2 1/2 hours wondering if I’m ever going to be next? The only reason I am waiting is because my Credit card already got charge for this order I never have gotten which I placed in the begining of Nov. Let just say I’m not one bit happy with the customer service!!

I made some of the last comments about the quality in the other tread. I’ve been out with my bag for the last 4 days and I tell you, people have been noticing like crazy… I’m stunned at the attention! They are all really impressed BUT I’ve had to point out that my straps are already tearing after only 4 days (my bag is not overloaded). I know that you are addressing it but there are other problems with the bag, in particular the pleated sides have a tendency to stick out leaving a open edge which makes the bag vulnerable to pick pockets and being a bit unsightly, I’m constantly having to push the sides back in.
One GREAT thing that I would like to point out that is a success with the design is how well the shells stick to the bag and they always adjust to be perfectly aligned with the edges of the bag… I was concerned about that before I tested it but no problems at all!
I still think that having a high quality version (as in leather) would sell. Everyone that I encountered who LOVE the concept all said the same thing "if there was a high quality version of the base bag I would definitely get the bag". I’m SO sold on the concept that I would even be interested in selling them myself but only if there is that better version among the choices.
I REALLY hope that you consider my suggestion and that others out there encourage this, I LOVE this bag!

I love my miche bags!! (both black and brown)But I have had trouble finding the kiosk in Fashion Place Mall. I was there last week and walked the entire mall. No kiosk!! I was going to get each of my daughters and daughter in law a bag set for Christmas, but need to find a kiosk.

The Miche Bag is a wonderful concept that should bring the look of high fashion to those who may not otherwise be affluent enough to purchase the rather high end bags that the fashion world so jealously guards. A great looking bag (over and over again) with an easily affordable price tag! You go Miche, girl!
I see that some of your shells are out of stock. How long until they will be available to purchase? Also I think you should sell different color handles. This way you could change the color of the handles to match the color of the shell. You could sell red handles to match the red shells, purple for the purple shells and so on. You are doing great I love my bag!
I absolutely love the bag and shells. I have 2 suggestions. Another compartment or side pocket would be nice to use for receipts, keys or other small items. And please decribe the color(s)of the shells. I viewed the shelss on 3 differnt computers to check the color. When I received the Purple Elli shell, it was more of a pinkish purple and not the true purple as it it appears online; the Wine Rachel shell is not wine at all but more of a deep red and the Karilee appears darker and more of a deep or olive green online but it is actually a bright and closer to lime green. So if you could give a description of the color(s) I think it will make selecting shells online easier.
I just saw your bags for the first time today, what a great idea. Would like to see a bigger version and also I think an evening bag version would be great, you could have silver, gold, black patent, etc. shells. This way us ladies wouldn’t have a closet full of bags that we use only for weddings and special occasions, saves alot of space!

I just received my bag and can’t believe that my husband loved the whole concept! Less pocketbook storage and this cool pocket organizer for it. I purchaced the black intro from 4miche and I am so excited to see on http://www.miche that there is a brown version of the bag. I also saw what seemed to be red on a brochure included in my order. Are there more colors other than the black and brown bags?
I also want to thank the lady that had the great idea of the wallets, checkbooks, maybe even maybe cell phone holders! There could be a solid or black/brown mix. Of course getting one to match each one of your shells is the ideal!!!! Or even a pattered emblem or initial to go on a plain one would be great!
Could you please go back into comments and remove the ones that are not “family friendly”. I saw many in the beginning of your blog back when the blog first started.
Is 4miche different than miche, or do we just keep track of which our items came from which?

I came to your site several months ago & there were several (a long page plus) of styles of shells. Now I only see 5-10 shells. What happened? Do you now carry way fewer shells? If not, how do I view your full collection?

I ordered my miche on January 6, as of today, February 12, I still have not received my order. I have called customer service and waited the hours on the phone, I’ve emailed customer service and received no reply. I am certainly frustrated. I love the idea of this bag and have anxiously been awaiting it’s arrival. I just don’t understand the delay?????
I love my bag! I have used it for several months now and think that the size is perfect. I would also like to see some shells in denim. The only problem that I have is that the end without the snap gaps open. I lost a new tube of my favorite lipstick as a result. More interior pockets would also be great to help keep it organized.
I love my Miche Bag, have 9 shells and plan to purchase more at the next Home Show! Everything is perfect except one annoying thing:the sides tend to stick out sometimes which, as another lady said ,is “unsightly”! She is right and I,too, have to keep pushing the sides back in. Incidently, I do not overload my bad, they just tend to pop out! Other than that, it is absolutely perfect! More styles with outside pockets to hold cell phones & keys would be great! Also a neat, narrow wallet/card holder would be great, as would a matching makeup case!

Ladies, I love my miche bag! My bag and 6 shells just arrived this morning and I am so excited to use it at work. I work with 18 other women daily and I just know that are going to want one. I have read over 100 posts about the bag and am interested in seeing how well they last. I will definately use mine every day because I HATE EXCHANGING PURSES! So I will give an honest account of the “wear and tear”. This is the first product I have purchased from an “infomercial” without any hesitation. Why? Because I couldn’t resist the temptation to own something both beautiful AND convenient. I did think about whether the covers would line up perfectly (they do), if the magnets were strong enough to hold them securely (it seems they are), and if the look of the bag is as cute and sophisticated as it appeared on tv (it is). So here goes…I will keep you posted!
I really love the Miche bag. It is noticed everywhere I go. The only thing I would like to see is just a slightly larger version. I’m able to carry most of the items that I need, but I would like to be able to fit just one or two more. Other than that please keep up the good work.
I just bought this bag today and thought maybe it would be a good idea to have different colored straps. Black or brown can be boring. I have seen a lot of popular purses with red or green colors. Since straps can break so easily it would be nice to change them more often if needed. I like the straps but wish the straps were in between the two lengths you already have. Having a variety of straps and lengths would keep people interested since we all have different heights. Keep up the good work. I like the idea and wish you success in your new business. P.S. It would be nice to have cheaper shells for the lower class people. I thought the whole idea of this purse was to save money by not buying a ton of purses to fill the closet. I could buy a purse for $20 bucks easily at the mall. If the cost was lower (like $15) people on ebay wouldn’t try to make knock offs of your original product. Just thought you might like to know

I would like to see more company posts in the blogs as customers love to hear what is happening. All my quilting e-stores send emails every week and some send them everyday. We all want to be the first to hear the latest. The last post from the Miche bag girls was in November? There must be something new to tell your customers or updates.
I LOVE THIS PURSE!!! Just got my very first order this week! I purchased mine at an in home party and loved that i got to look at and touch and try all the different purse/shell combinations in person before purchasing. It sure beats a tupper ware party! I got the basic black with 4 shells and love them! what a great idea (my husband is thrilled my purse/bag addiction may be subsiding-little does he know
. I would love to see a slightly bigger version, organizing inserts and shells that have outside pockets (for cell phones, keys, etc) or shells that wrap all the way around so the sides would become pockets and wouldn’t bulge out.

A brilliant idea to say the least.I found your add on T.V. one night and fell in love with the concept.It works out very well for a woman like me.I have a bag fixation and had 2 slide under the bed storage tubs over flowing with bags of all kinds.Could never bring myself to get rid of any of them until now.(all gone and only kept wallets and 2 small evening bags).I just moved into a small apt. with my family of 4 and soon to be 5 with little storage space.I love anything that can keep me organized and not take up a lot of space.My hubby is active duty Army and we tend to move around a lot.Space always being an issue every place we move into.This bag allowed me to let go of the cluttered past and move into the clear future.The new construction is perfect so far and all of your shells are beautiful,classy, and fun.I just ordered 4 more shells and a set of long handles.I love the basic idea of black or brown.If you add more colors to the bag people will just end up in the same cluttered past I was in.But then again the public demands.Thanks so much for what you have done.I wish you the best.Keep up the great work and I will keep coming back for more.
I just got my Miche bag and love it. I bought one as a gift for my mother as well. I love being able to change the look day to day so easily and quickly. The only thing that I find difficult is changing the strap. It’s very hard to work the strap off the rings. I’m afraid that the loop sewed on the purse will become weak and tear at some point. Maybe if the changeable straps had a decorative loop of their own so that you only have to unhook the metal loops instead of working the strap off, it would be easier. I don’t think having two gold or silver loops hooked together would look bad at all. I may even try to come up with something on my own so I don’t put alot of stress on the sewn on strap. Other than that….I love the bag and variety of shells!!!!

I love the bag but find it a little large and the one open space a “black hole” for all of my things to get lost in. It desperately needs a divider down the middle!
You need more colors and fabrics to keep up with fashion. You want to make this a handbag for everyone! Love the purse just need more jacket options.
I just got my Miche bag and love it. I have 15 shells and cannot wait to use them all! I love the handles but would love to see more choices of handles. Handles like the short ones only alittle longer to be able to carry it as a shoulder bag under your arm would be perfect. Please give us more handles! And thanks for such a great idea!
I saw these purses in my local mall for several months and I fell in love with them! I waited until now to get one (my birthday is coming up) and of course as soon as I went back to look the stand was GONE!
I wish the stand was still there so I could go pick one up and use it immediately but I will just have to order them online now. I am in love with the design of this bag, and everyone I have talked to here says the quality is wonderful.
I know this is probably a few years away, but I think it would be really fun to offer customized designs on your shells. You have some great shells but it would be really fun to design my own shell and know that I was the only person to have it. I would be willing to pay the extra price for this, and Im sure others would too!
Overall, this is a genius design! Im excited to see what you come up with in the future!
I haven’t ordered yet, but I think that leather would be a great addition to the product line. Also, A larger size would be nice. Navy handles and possibly a navy bag (matching the navy used on the chelles)would be versatile additions–navy is a nice alternative “neutral” color. I’d have to look back at the handle choices, but in case the ones with the chains are only offered in silver tone, you might want to offer gold tone, as well.

I saw the first informercial a couple of months ago and can’t wait to get my miche bag! However, since it’s kind “in between” seasons, I was waiting until you had some more “spring-looking” shells available before I placed my order. Now, when you did come out with one new one it’s already out of stock. Are there more spring/summer shells planned? When will they debut?
I would also be interested in a larger version if you decide to come out with one….

Just recieved my MICHE and LOVE it!
One person said it would be nice to have a larger one. I writing for the opposite reason. It’s 2x’s larger than what I’ve always carried & is a bit awkward. I do LOVE it, so I’m working on getting comfortable with it. I’ve showed it of to my daughter & some girlfriends. They all Love it too, but 2/3 or so said theyd like it smaller too(ht, is good, it’s the length).
Also, going to the website, I can’t seem to get a Window to order more shells. I LOVE the bag despite it’s size. If you ever make one smaller, I’ll buy that too, so will my daughter and several of my friends—they all told me to keep them posted on that.
LOVE LOVE LOVE my MICHE & shells that just arrived a wk. ago! My only comment other than that, is that it is 2x’s longer than what I’ve always carried & is taking some getting used to the length. I have showed it & the Shells off to many a girlfriend & my daughter who all LOVE it too. Just as me, about 2/3 said they’d LOVE it better & definitely purchase if you start making one less long—1/2 or 2/3 or so. They told me to watch for a smaller one & let them know ASAP if you market it, they’ll buy it—I will too
