Miche Bag has officially launched from it’s home base of Salt Lake City, UT, and is rapidly expanding to the rest of the nation. Hi, I’m an Australian who recently got a Miche Bag bundle. Great idea I use it all the time. I’m already looking at what shell to buy next! Oh and Leigh check back on the site, maybe they have added more shells since your visit because there were like 25-30 to choose from when I looked.

I agree with what the other ladies are saying, that the provider of the bags in Australia isnt the best, the website isnt very informative and hasnt got as many products as the main American site.
I would love the buy the brown bag for my Mother, but only if I can get the long straps to match it!
I think Miche would do so well in Australia if it were marketed better and the website and a call centre were made up better!
Fantastic! Purchased the bag 3 weeks ago and have now accumulated 12 shells. I would love to see a denim & animal print combo and, for spring & summer, a straw-like shell with flowers embroidered on it. Also the giraffe & red has been an exceptional hit when I’m out & about, so maybe each of the animal prints partnered with red!

What a fantastic idea! But not such a fantastic purse. How about one that’s a little bigger with side pockets on either end for glasses and cell phone? I’d never but another purse.

I just received one of your purses as a present. I really like the concept and the style of the purse and covers. I have had a problem with it however. When the purse is zipped closed and I lean over with the purse on my shoulder the items in the purse (keys, lipstick, etc.) slide out from the opening on the side of the purse (where the zipper ends). Is there any way to fix this? Have you received any other comments on this?

LOVE THE BAG CONCEPT. I would love to have a different purse for different outfits without having to change purses, and your idea can make that a possibility for every woman! Today I met Christina Doug Edwards when they were vendors at First Sunday Flea Market held in Decatur, IL. I just love the bags and the concept. The bags themselves are a perfect size and I love the idea of being able to get the shoulder strap as an alternative.
However, I gave them one suggestion and then my husband reminded me of another:
• CREAM EMMMA: To make the bag look more high class and not cheaply made, please “HAND TIE” vs SEWING MACHING TACKING THE RIBBON on the beautiful cream colored shell. If the ribbon was hand-tied, even in a simple square knot, it would enrich the appearance of the bag. The stitches from the sewing machine cheapen it.
• MAGNETS CAN BE DANGEROUS: A while back, my sister-in-laws credit and bank cards were unusable. After initial panic and some investigative searching, she discovered that the magnetic clasp on her purse wiped out the charge card magnetic strips and all her cards had to be replaced. You may want to rethink the magnet idea and use sturdy stainless steel snaps instead.
I’d love to have a purse party, but will wait until I hear from you regarding the above. Your idea is ingenius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Michelle, I was up late the other night and an infomerical about the Miche Bag came on. I stopped what I was doing and watched the entire show. What a great concept because there is nothing more I hate than to change purses. What a hassel to change everyday. You and your bag has changed that. I just ordered me the bag and extra shells and I can not wait to get it in and start using it. I know I am going to love it. Keep up the good work.
After my purchase of the Miche bag in September at a local seasonal boutique, I loved the bag for 2 weeks until the buckles that hold the handles on BROKE! All four of them broke. After contacting headquartes, and the sales rep that sold me the bag phone calls that I can prove were within the 30 day policy and emails that are recorded are 31 days after the date of purchase, 1 day after their warranty expired. They acknowledged that it was a defective bag and I still ( December 18) Have yet to see a refund. I needed a purse that worked and was unsuccessful in getting ahold of the company that I went and bought another bag from a quick retail store, therefore I did not want a replacement bag. I will NEVER buy a Miche bag again and plan on telling everyone I know at how defective this bag was for the 80.00 that I spent on it. The customer service rep that sold me the bag is not helpful in any way! Actually was quite rude! I did nothing wrong in this situation! I hope be writing this that I will at least save one person from getting ripped off the way that I did. Good luck!

I learned about your wonderful concept through a co-worker at school. I use it every day which saves me a lot of time instead of switching from one purse to another almost nightly. I love the four shells I use with basic short straps. I’d like the longer shoulder type strap but can’t figure out how you would make the switch. The picture doesn’t reveal it. Please let me know

I have recently purchased the black bag & the 2 long straps. To use just one strap I fastened them one on each side [crossed over] at opposite ends…works!
Question: how to preserve the bottom of the Amy shell clean, or to clean it. Even w/ the feet I have a small dirt smudge and want to have your input before I use anything, even water.

When I bought my bag I was told that they would be in stores all over. There is not a store near me! Is this not the plan anymore?
I love the pocketbook and the shells, but I am very frustrated trying to order just the shells on line. Everytime I put shells into my basket and then go to check out it tells me my basket is empty. I have e mailed Miche several times about this problem and they don’t seem to fix it. They told me they were aware of the problem I would like to order on line not by phone so this is very frustrating.
Can you sell the short handles online too please? I’d like a set in brown, but also, my black handles are already getting a little frayed.
Love the bag, HATE the Australian distributor! By other comments and web sites I have checked seems common that all the overseas distributos only carry limited shells (8-10 max), and none of the really pretty ones. If Miche hand over their overseas sales to other companies they should make sure the distributor will carry the full range, not just the very basic stuff. The new shells and that great looking organiser, forget it! Miche, you are missing out on so many sales!

I just received my Miche bag and I absolutely love it. Only complaint I have is, they sent me brown shoulder straps with a black purse. Is that the norm or should I have gotten black straps? Do you think they will be coming out with a white shell for spring and summer?

What a great idea not only for those of us who hate changing purses but for those of us that every now and then come across a puse we just absolutely love, and wish it came in other colors/styles! I love my Miche Bag, but may not be able to continue purchasing shells, as I have developed a habit of doing. The price of the shells keep going up and up and up! Now, the new shells cost as much as the bag. Both have increased in cost significantly since I first saw them last year at a Peddler Show. It’s a shame. I see your options as limitless, but not your customer’s money supply…

I had trouble falling asleep last night, so around 2:00 A.M. I turned on the TV and there was an infomercial for the Miche Bag. It seems so cool. Just have one suggestion. I am a "matching" freak. Could you please introduce a wallet/billfold in both black and brown that would be a good match for the purse design. Even better would be that the little name tag on the front of the wallet could be interchangeable to match the shells, everytime you order a shell you get a name tag match for the wallet. That would really be something! I plan on ordering one for myself and one for my Sister and Mother for Xmas next year 2009. I will wait a bit to see if any new styles or wallets come out in the Spring/Summer before I make my purchase. Thank you!
I just got a miche bag for Christmas and absolutley love it! It is constructed very well and is also just the right size. I can’t wait to buy more shells for it. I would also like to sell the bags but was curious if the start up cost was really 8-9 thousand dollars, this seems extremely high to me. Can you please let me know if this is the case.
