Almost one year!! Posted on June 25th, 2008 by Annette

Hello Everyone!

First I want to say thank you so much for your support over the last year!!! We're almost to our one year anniversary mark and have been blown away by the incredible response from all of you. We've definitely learned a lot over the last year especially about how much to order! I really have appreciated how patient you all have been as we've sold through inventory so much faster than expected.

We are constantly working on developing new and exciting ways to use our patent pending handbag design. I'm sure you'll be excited to know we have new styles coming every month from now on! Watch for them to begin arriving in the next few weeks.

I'm always so excited to run into customers around town. It's such a great feeling to see so many women enjoying the Miche Bag as much as I do. I would love to hear all of your questions, comments and suggestions, so please come talk to me if you see me around Salt Lake City, or leave us messages on the blog! We couldn't do this without you and we want you to know we are 100% committed to keeping our customers happy!

Thanks again to all of you!!!

A couple of questions: I forgot to ask how to change the handles when I bought my bag today. Can you tell me how? Also, the person I bought the bag from, said you will be introducing the bag into kiosks in malls. Will you be posting on your website where these will be located? Thank you. danielle

I purchased a Miche bag for myself and my twin grand daughters in Las Vegas last March. We really love them and my two daughters would like to visit a Kiosk in the Denver area. I found one on your web site a few months ago in Park Meadows Mall. I can no longer find it. Is it still there and how do I find the Kiosks in my area? Your Web a site keeps saying no results found. we live in the Boulder/ Westminster/Golden areas. Are there any in our area or is Park Meadows the only one? Please respond. We love the purse and would like to buy in person. Your web site also said the shell in out of stock. Is that true? I would also like some info on becoming a distrubutor. I get so many comments on my Miche bag .Thank you Vicki vicki419@comcast .net

I have been showing my bag around and I am excited to join the company. I have had people ask me if their credit cards would be de-magnetizied when they carry them in the pockets? Please let me know so I can tell them the correct information. Thank You! Barbie

I love the bag - just bought it this weekend from 2 very nice indiv....however I have 2 comments: 1) you need some more casual shells...i.e. perhaps a denim or summer canvas and many of the covers are cutesy (added bows). Keep them simple so more people can use them. You have a wonderful professional lineup - but with the boxy shape alone adding to its dressed-up factor some casual ones are very important. 2) I see a future problem with the fact that it would be very simple to sew a new cover - so companies are going to pop up with their covers for your bag. You don't need to answer me, but ask yourself do you have a plan to cover this possibility?

I just discovered your bag today. I was shopping at the Calgary Stampede, and there was a booth displaying all of these great looking bags. The lady who was giving her talk told me that the bags retailed for $90-$100.00 and that each "outfit" for the bag was $25. Also she claimed the strap was $14.95. I really do love the idea, and feel that the bag will serve me well, however I do think you should be careful about the ladies who are at these trade shows and the information they are giving out. Honestly I feel a little manipulated and lied to, I am not sure I will be ordering more "outfits" because of her misleading me. Quite a disappointment.

I was at my secound job when Liz came to my register and had your purse. I just absolutely love the idea and she gave me a book. I am going to book a home party and I have been telling my sisters, daughter and friends. Do you have anything around New Hampshire this is where my daughter lives and I would love her to be able to see them. Christmas is not to far away and these would be excellent gifts for the women..

My sister bought me this bag for my birthday and I absolutely LOVE it! Unfortunately, I was at a store the other day and the cover must have gotten caught on a shopping cart in the parking lot and it came off and I didn't notice it until I got home. I went back to the store but could not find it. My suggestion is to perhaps put little clips on the top to anchor it more so if the magnets do get caught the clips will keep the cover from dropping. Thanks.

I found this bag in Vegas! It's a great product...interchangable shells, animal friendly, inexpensive and oh so convenient!! It's been a week and I've already used all my shells. Pardon me, but gimme more, more, more!!

Hi there, My friend just showed me this website and as I am half way through my first pregnancy, I was curious as to if you'd make a diaper bag (or larger purse) in the future! It would be great to have pink or blue designs, for boy or girl, or keep it customized to my outfit! Thanks Erin

I just bought your bag and am wondering if there is a place I can purchase more shells (without a bag) in Calgary or on-line. I love the bag & the idea that if one shell becomes worn, you can still use the bag with other shells. Not having to change my contents from purse to purse is a huge bonus.

Kim July 13th, 2008 at 04:23 PM

I wanted to respond to Leanne who was told the shells retail for $25, etc. I am trying to find here to buy the shells on the internet, and have come across two sites that sell in Canada. One site only sells the package (as you had at the Stampede (1 bag, 3 shells & straps for $99). The other sells this same package for $99, but has a second package of 3 shells for $75). The US site sells the shells for $20 ea, but does not send to Canada. If anyone knows where I can get the shells in Canada (on-line), that would be great. Thanks.

I just bought my bag and I love it, everyone I see I tell them about it and they love it too. My main suggestion is WE NEED MORE SHELL OPTIONS, I was even thinking along the lines of sports teams, or even those famous picture purses that are so popular (ex. elvis, wizard of Oz, Marilyn Monroe) even fun exciting shells that look like New York City. Really this idea is great and the sky is the limit to the type of shells that you could create

Shari July 21st, 2008 at 09:05 PM

I love my bag I bought 3 shells and feel I need more. I can change my bag daily and not take a thing out. It will be great for traveling to go with everything I pack.

Anna July 22nd, 2008 at 11:24 PM

In response to Kim's email, The kiosk is also at Capital Ex in Edmonton. Shells are $19.99 each and if you buy 3 there is no GST. Capital Ex is on at Northlands until Saturday, July 26th.

I would like to know the answer to Barbie Staley's question (above). I recently saw the Miche bag at a kiosk in the mall and flipped over it...what a fabulous idea...but didn't buy it because my friend raised the question about demagnetizing credit cards and going through airport security. That is the only thing standing in my way of making a purchase. I personally would prefer another method of attachment (also brought up above).

Holly July 26th, 2008 at 09:53 AM

I have the same question as Angela above about it demagnetizing credit cards and going through airport security. Would really love to know the answer to this question!

I just received a beautiful gift of the 'Miche' Bag from my daughter and son-in-law.I am thrilled to bits. Wonderful idea.

Donna Hardy July 26th, 2008 at 02:57 PM

My daughter & I just purchased your bag which came with 1 black cover & 3 covers of our choice & also included longer straps at Costco for just under $99. We just think the whole system is terrific .. thanks so much ... what a wonderful & practical idea.

I have been reading about the Miche bag and have decided that i would like one. I can only find one outlet in England,United Kingdom, with a very limited amount of shells. I love the idea and it occurs to me that I should be a distributor. If you think that another distributor here is a good idea, then you may like to send me the details. Dorothy

karen July 27th, 2008 at 05:23 AM

I bought my Miche here in the UK at BestDirect with 3 extra shells of my choice. However the hunt for extra shells lead me to the official website and a great selection, I agree though we need more casuals (especially a denim one!), and maybe even a bigger workbag version. Having said that, this is a fantastic product keep up the good work and please - more shells!!!

My husband bought me the BUNDLE (for my birthday) at a mall in Salt Lake City in March and I just love it. I live in the New Orleans area and no one here has seen anything like this...they love mine and want info on how to get one. I'd love to have a home party for my friends and family. Let me know how!

Debbie July 28th, 2008 at 10:08 AM

I was told by my sales lady that it would not demagnatize credit cards or affect cell phones. She did not mention airport security. But she also told me the bag and shells would cost more online and now that I see the online prices I didn't save any money. So I don't know if I trust what my sales lady said.

Kim W July 29th, 2008 at 08:02 PM

Excellent idea! Picked mine up at Costco on the weekend. I can't wait for the matching wallets now! Hopefully we, in Canada, will be able to purchase the extra covers on-line! I'll be watching. Thank you!

Kim Lindros July 30th, 2008 at 11:25 AM

I love the bag...I have been thinking about it for a month and finally purchased one today. I will admit, I am a lover of large bags! Will you be making a larger bag in the future??

Pat Arnold August 2nd, 2008 at 06:20 AM

I learned of the Miche purse when I stumbled across a kiosk in a mall near Operyland while on vacation 2 weeks ago in Nashville, TN. After seeing how stylish & simple the system is, I purchased a black & a brown purse, along with several shells. I absolutely love them, but wish the purse was slightly larger in size. (I really had to pare down to make things fit). I can't wait for your locator to work; I'm looking for a local distributor in the Orlando, FL area. There was a shell I saw in TN that I wish I'd gotten which isn't yet on your site. Great product; I love matching shells to outfits without having to disturb the purse's contents.

Angie K August 2nd, 2008 at 09:12 PM

Do you know if the Miche Bag will be available in the near future in a slightly larger size. Also, would the magnets bother my Amazon Kindle eReader. My concern with the present Miche bag is that it's not large enough to hold all my stuff. My wallet, my Sony digi camera, my cell phone and my Kindle reader plus all the other small stuff one puts in a purse. I love the concept of the Miche bag but would probably have to see one in person and try to put all my stuff inside of it. Can anyone tell me what you carry in your Miche bag right now, and how it all fits. Thank you for any info. you want to share. I looked at Costco online, but didn't see any Miche bags.

Lorraine L August 5th, 2008 at 10:33 AM

I purchased mine a couple of months ago and love it!! I'm planning on adding more shells soon. Like Angie K, I was also wondering if the bag might come in a slightly larger size in the future. It's great but I could use another couple of inches all around.

Susie Q August 6th, 2008 at 03:48 PM

I purchased my Miche Bag two days ago with 5 shells and I love it! It would be nice if the bag were slightly larger, but it's still good. And, I agree that more shells, and some "casual" shells are a must! Otherwise, it is brilliant!!!!!

Marla August 8th, 2008 at 09:17 PM

I bought my Miche bag last week at Miracle Mile Mall in Vegas and paid $129 for my bag and 3 shells. I now see that I overpaid. The lady that I bought from told me that online they were much more expensive and they're not. I bought 5 extra cases. I thought there should have been some volume deals. Like buy 5 more for $15 each. There needs to be an incentive to buy volume. I hope that Canadians will soon be able to buy online (if they can't at this point - I haven't tried). I have a lot of female friends who would spend a bundle on this product!!

dotti August 9th, 2008 at 01:27 AM

TRAVELERS!!! don't worry, i fly evey wednesday and have had no problem at all with TSA. the magnets are very sturdy and NO they will not demagnetize your credit cards. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bag, I need to be a distributer, I have already had 5 friends buy one after seeing mine. Top quality too. The shells are great, but if it wasn't a top quality bag I would have never bought it. Great product in every way!! **I also would like more casual covers, not so many bows, and maybe straw, or something with an outside pocket. just a few ideas!!

Nancy August 18th, 2008 at 11:07 AM

I just love this bag. Such a great idea! I already have 6 shells and want more, that were not on sale at the P.N.E. in Vancouver.I would love it even more if the handles, straps and some shell options were in leather. I think a clutch with optional strap and a tote (oversized purse) would be a great addition to the line. I would love a tote in natural (nubuck) leather to replace my other favourite purse. I would also like a straw shell for summer and a tapestry shell for fall.I am looking forward to your new product annoucement.Thank you!
